Five Weeks To Fitness!

Woman measuring waistHi, my name is Dr. Mark Logullo. I’m a National Board Certified Middletown Delaware Chiropractor, with additional certification in Chiropractic Sports Medicine and Exercise Strength Conditioning.

I would like to tell you a little about my Five Weeks To Fitness Program, but please allow me to tell you a little about myself and why I am passionate about helping people feel better, move better, lose weight, look better and enjoy overall improvement in fitness.

I was born into an Italian and Polish family. My parents loved me and were great but we were always surrounded with food … ravioli, pasta, pierogi, breads, cakes etc … This was the Italian/Polish ethnic way! As a kid I didn’t know how to limit myself. If it was there, why not eat it? Well, by the time I was in seventh grade I was obese. I mean husky jeans and can’t find clothes to fit this kid obese.

One day in gym class we had to run a mile in 15 minutes and I had a hard time! All of the other little kids were done long before me and sat on the side line cheering (the fat kid) me on. At that point I realized I had a problem!

That day I told my friend Greg that I was going to lose weight. Over our summer break I made a homemade gym in our basement. I hung tow truck pulleys from the ceiling for cable exercises. I made a weight bench with wood and had those old school weighs filled with sand. I studied all the info I could get my hands about health. I exercised and changed my diet and by the time started again I had lost over 60 pounds!! The kids I had known most of my life did not even recognize me. I felt better. I looked better. I moved better. Life was good!

In high school I entered all natural competitive bodybuilding contests and won a few trophies. I later had the opportunity to judge bodybuilding contests. This was a big change from my earlier “husky” boy days!

I decided to go to Chiropractic College. Now I am a National Board Certified Middletown Delaware Chiropractor, with additional certification in Chiropractic Sports Medicine and Exercise Strength Conditioning.

I have created a Five Weeks to Fitness program to help people jump start their path to fitness. We start with a free consultation. The good news is that no special equipment or gym membership is required. A gym membership is beneficial but not necessary.
